Job position: Terrestrial Ecologist/Botanical Specialist

Roles / Responsibilities & Job Description:
- Ecological/Botanical Specialist services, inter alia:
- Botanical Impact Assessments
- Plant species identification
- Search and Rescue including knowledge of relevant permit applications
- Knowledge of Botanical Offset process will be beneficial
- Knowledge of and willingness to assist with Environmental Management processes (NEMA Environmental Impact Assessments) will be beneficial.
- Mapping, GIS & data interpretation using software modelling packages (e.g. GIS software).
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Relevant Environmental Hons Degree or higher in Ecology or Botany
- Must be able to work in a team
- Need to meet deadlines
- Candidates must have good communication skills in English, be flexible, and have a positive attitude
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing Botanical Specialist services.
- Understanding of applicable South African Environmental legislation
- A valid driver’s license
- SACNASP registration a requirement
- Excellent report-writing skills
You may require a Criminal Records Bureau check. The job is dependent on suitable references.
Salary Range: Salary will be negotiated based on Qualifications and Experience
