Enviroprac is a Cape Town-based consultancy focused on environmental licensing, reporting and compliance. We partner our in-depth knowledge and experience, with our clients’ industry expertise. The outcome is client compliance whilst minimizing environmental impacts and cost and hassle to client.
We are an agile team of four, with a wealth of experience in particularly the air quality licensing sector. Waste as well as Water Use licensing and registrations; Environmental Impact Assessment; environmental / emissions / dust management plans; greenhouse gas reporting; and public participation are included in our areas of expertise.
We have forged partnerships and associate agreements with some of the top specialists and consultants in the field in order to offer clients a turnkey solution to their compliance obligations.
The company has grown exponentially since inception in 2018, mostly due to repeat business and word-of-mouth referrals. Our brand is service delivery. We operate throughout South Africa.
Job description:
- Public participation and EIA-support administration
- Junior consultant for:
- EIA’s and licence applications
- Licence management and audits
- Site and project screenings; due diligence audits; non-compliance resolutions, etc.
- Air emissions estimations and reporting
- Waste reporting

Key functions
- Public participation management

- Junior-level input into determining site sensitivities, impact sources, listed activities and the correct applications to follow
- Second-in-command for project management, including specialist and client care
- Report-writing and form completion
Work environment
- Office based with some time spent on site visits – mostly industrial; mostly within the greater Cape Town metro; sometimes upcountry.
- Working as part of a small multidisciplinary team.
- Deadline-driven, so the pressure can mount. But using our workflow systems keeps all balls in the air and the team having a good time.

Qualifications/Experience Required:
Essential:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in environmental management, environmental science, economics, engineering, environmental law, ecology, chemistry, etc.
- At least 2 years’ experience in EIA and the environmental consulting space.
Desirable:
- Candidate registration with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA).
- Member of the International Association of Impact Assessment, South Africa (IAIAsa).
- Member of the Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa (IWMSA) and the National Association for Clean Air (NACA).
- Experience with air emissions desktop research, estimations and reporting.
- Familiarity with environmental reporting and licensing systems.
Other essential requirements
- One of Enviroprac’s core business units assists clients with ongoing licence management; reporting, auditing, renewing, etc. – especially in the air quality and waste management space. You will be trained in this service offering.
- IT skills – we’re working in MS Office and on MS SharePoint. Excellent data management is key.
- Driver’s licence and own vehicle for intermittent travel. Mileage will be reimbursed at the AA rate.
