IAIAsa is recognised as an accredited Voluntary Association by Industry Registration Authorities, such as Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) and South African Council for Natural & Scientific Professionals (SACNASP).  

As a Voluntary Association, IAIAsa strives to provide opportunities for its members to maintain their professional development, either in terms of mandatory requirements for registration with the various registration authorities, or to fulfill their own personal needs to keep abreast with developments and professional practice in the Integrated Environmental Management Field.
