North-West Province Outgoing Student Branch Chair: Aneska Richter
Aneska is currently studying towards a BSc Honours degree in Environmental Science with Geography and Environmental Management at the North West University. Her research is focussed on the contribution of informal waste burning in Wedela to ambient particulate matter.

North-West Student Branch Chair: Wian du Preez
My name is Wian du Preez, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Geography and Botany, and I am currently busy with my honour’s degree in Geography and Environmental Management at the North-West University Potchefstroom. I also completed my Radio Pilot License in 2020 enabling me to lawfully operate Unmanned Aerial Vehicles which can be well applied in the field of environmental management. I am very passionate about environmental assessments and my goal is to become a profound EAP to maintain a balance between sustainable development the conservation of natural resources.

North-West Student Branch Vice Chair: Beauty Ramohlokbane
Beauty is a self-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking BSc. in environmental science with geology and Geography graduate. She has a proven ability of driving community-based change as she always volunteer in community activities aiming at improving and protecting the environment. Currently she is studying BSc. Honours in environmental science with geography and environmental management. She is hoping to use the knowledge and skills acquired to continue driving community change and hopefully become one of the most influential EAPs in the country.

North-West Student Branch Secretary: Nadine Joubert
Environmental conservation has always been a key interest of mine. I also enjoy spending time in nature. Therefore, I have decided to do a degree in Environmental Sciences: Geology and Geography and are currently busy with my Honours degree in Environmental Management. I am fortunate enough to have bursary with Thungela that gives me the opportunity to do vacation work. This gives me insight and knowledge into how mines manage their operations. However, I strive to be an Environmental consultant one day and travel the world.

North-West Student Branch Treasurer: Mary-Jane Khanyile
Mary-Jane is a disciplined and motivated graduate with a Bsc in Environmental Science with Geology and Geography. She is currently pursuing a Bsc(Hons) in Environmental Management. Beauty is very passionate about Environmental Impact Assessment module and would like to own a consulting EAP company in the future.

North-West Student Branch Social Media Coordinator: Siphamandla Madlabane
Siphamandla holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography and environmental management and is currently a Geography honours student at the NWU. He is highly adaptable and committed to different projects, eager to learn and has a keen interest in water, GIS modelling and the energy industry. He is looking forward to expanding knowledge and skills related to water resources and hydrological modelling, as it relates to sustainable equity and development in a water stressed country (S.A)

North-West Student Branch Membership and Marketing: Thato Mokhomong
My name is Thato Mokhomong. I am a Geography and Environmental Management Honours student at the North West University, Potchefstroom campus. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Geography and Humanities. I am interested in current affairs (social media and news). I am very passionate about and have grown interest in Environmental studies, climate change and sustainable development related studies and I would like to grow within the Environmental studies field. In the future, I would like to pursue my career as a researcher in Environmental Management.

Northwest Student Branch Events Coordinator: Siyongamele Dzingwa
My name is Siyongamele Dzingwa (Siyo), I am currently enrolled in a BSc Honours Degree in Environmental Sciences with Environmental Management and Geography at the North-West University. I also finished my undergraduate degree which was a BA in Psychology, Geography, and Environmental Management at the North-West University. I have always been passionate about Environmental management, more specifically how it strives to find the balance between human development and the environment
and how it encourages sustainable development. When I finish my degree, I would love to be an Environmental specialist who uses his skills to protect and improve the environment while also promoting sustainable development and making a positive impact on human health and well-being in South Africa.

North-West Student Branch Inter-campus Communication: Keamogetswe Paledi
Keamogetswe is a graduate with a B.Sc in Environmental Sciences with Geology and Geography from the North West University – Potchefstroom campus and is currently doing his Honours in Environmental Sciences with Geography and Environmental Management. He has a keen interest on pursuing his masters where he will continue his project in trying to find the aerosol optical thickness and size distribution characteristics over Upington in South Africa. Keamogetswe is passionate about the wonders of science, earth systems,
research as well as youth development and is committed to using his passion to improve the state of his community, South Africa. Besides his love for earth systems, Keamogetswe is an advocate of lifelong learning who has also obtained a N3 in electrical engineering.
