Job description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Environmental Assessment Practitioner to support environmental assessment, permitting and compliance projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior environmental practitioners, gaining exposure to a range of environmental authorisation processes and contributing to the successful delivery of projects from application through to monitoring and reporting

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Hold a BSc in Environmental Management or science equivalent.
  • Valid code 8 drivers’ license. 
  • Have existing accommodation in Cape Town or George. 
  • 2-5 Years work experience in an environmental consultancy. 
  • Registered Candidate EAPASA registration would be beneficial.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-application screening and assist with compilation of pre-application documentation. 
  • Assist senior management with the completion of relevant environmental reports for various permitting procedures, including, but not limited to EIA’s, BAR’s, EMPr’s, MMP’s, WULA’s, etc.
  • Conduct public participation planning and implementation. 
  • Undertaking the aforementioned procedures under the supervision of the Senior EAP.  
  • Conduct ECO monitoring and reporting. 
  • Social media management.
  • Administrative duties including, but not limited to: 
    • Compilation of documentation. 
    • Printing and filing.
    • Tender procurement. 
    • Meeting scheduling and minutes.
