Spatial Information Standards made in terms of Section 11 of the Spatial Data Infrastructure Act, 2003. (Act No. 54 of 2003) will come into effect on 10 April 2023 

The Minister of Agriculture Land Reform and Rural Development has under Section 11 of the Spatial Data Infrastructure Act, 2003, in Notice No 3128 of Government Gazette 48187 dated 10 March 2023  determined Standards to facilitate the sharing and integration of Spatial Information. A list of Standards are set out in the Schedule. The Standards will come into operation one month from date of publication of this Notice in the Gazette.
